I am fond of SC. I grew up and lived there for 20 years. The diversity is nice.

Im not sure what the best state is for herps, but, I love my state for what I really like to look for. Also has alot of other things to look for when the times are slow.

Jersey is ok for potential species diversity, but for sheer volume, I've been doing well in Pa this year.

I was just joking about Alaska. Anyone know if there are reptiles up there? Can't imagine there would be too many different types.

Tennessee was great when I lived there. Drive down any farm road in the evening and its snakes galore.
