Just curious what everyone's favorite herp is. And if you could find one herp that you have never seen before or found in the commonwealth, what would it be. My favorite is a Timber Rattlesnake, dont matter how many i see they just entrigue me and I would love to one day see a Massasauga in the wild. Just curious.

I would feel that it was a steller season if I were to stumble upon a bog turtle locally and were to have the opportunity to add its photo to my herp wall. From the photos I have seen they are a stunning little turtle.

I kinda like smooth green snakes, but timbers are definitely cool.

My favorite is by far the northern copperhead with the TR being a close second, but i would also love to get a few good pics of some bog turtles....every time ive seen one i didn't have a camera! I agree with Kyle too that smooth greens are the favorite of the small snakes.

In PA I would have to say Saguas, but I also take a liking to Ravine Salamanders and Queen Snakes.
