I came across this snake in the front yard of my mother-in-law. She lives in Aston, PA (DELCO).
It was only 7 inches or so. My wife suggested that it could be a milk snake; she also thought it might have been someone's pet.

What kind of snake do you think this is?

Hi kdemilner, this is a milk snake. Not sure it would be someones pet they are native throughout the state. I do think it has a odd pattern, but could also be the camera angle.
